Legal
Terms & Conditions
Effective September 18, 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These Terms & Conditions are a binding agreement between you and Brian Dunnuck (the “Seller”), operating the PlaybookMotion service at playbookmotion.com (the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you use the Service on behalf of a team, school, league or other organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms; otherwise you must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
2. The Service
PlaybookMotion is a play design and teaching platform for coaches. It lets you build structured, animated plays on interactive sport surfaces, organize them into playbooks, time and sequence player actions, present them to athletes, and use AI-assisted and voice features. Features available to you depend on the plan you purchase.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate information and keeping it up to date.
You must not misuse the Service, including by:
- using the Service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam;
- infringing intellectual-property rights or the rights of others;
- introducing malware, probing or scanning the Service, circumventing technical limits, or scraping or harvesting data;
- reselling, redistributing, or reverse-engineering the Service;
- using AI features to generate illegal content, hateful content, deepfakes, malware, or attempts to bypass safety controls.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the plays, playbooks, notes, recordings and other content you create (“User Content”). You grant the Seller a limited license to host, process, transmit and display User Content solely to provide and improve the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and for having the rights to anything you upload, including rights to any input you provide to AI features and for how you use the outputs. Rights holders may report alleged infringement to support@playbookmotion.com; we may remove or restrict content and, for repeated infringement, suspend accounts.
5. AI-generated content
The Service can generate plays, explanations and narration using AI models. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete; verify them before relying on them, and do not treat them as professional advice. You are responsible for your prompts and how you use outputs. We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, documentation and branding, is owned by the Seller and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the scope of your plan. No other rights are granted.
7. Purchases, billing and Paddle
Paid plans are offered as subscriptions (monthly or annual) and, for organizations, per-seat licenses. Payments, billing, taxes, subscription management, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms).
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current paid period. See our Refund Policy.
8. Service level
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation, and we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Seller is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill). Our aggregate liability to you is capped at the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When your access ends, your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export of your content within 30 days of termination, after which it may be deleted.
11. General
You agree to indemnify the Seller against claims arising from your User Content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, and the courts there have exclusive venue. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these Terms; continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
